Breakfast at Villa Mamas

Tuck away within a residential compound in Saar is this cozy place called Villa Mamas serving traditional food with a modern twist. They also pride themselves for serving organic, local and fresh produce.

I thought I'd check out what's the buzz about and went there for the first time to sample their famous arabic breakfast, and boy oh boy! they did not disappoint.

My brekky date

Goofing around while we wait for the food

I need my cappuccino that morning. That cup was so frothy I wore a white mustache like santa on christmas morning ;-)

Our arabic breakfast spread

Villa Mamas version of "bait tamata" , scrambled eggs with tomatoes. Perfect dip for warm fresh khuboos (flat bread).

Nutella-stuffed khuboos for my little man... well supposedly. He just had his milk and did not fancy to eat anything. So I ate it. Not like I'm complaining.

Can't wait to come back again and try their other dishes. Definitely worth the drive away from the city. And oh, I bet it would be lovely to sit outside in the winter.
